Title: Director of Media and Worship Arts

Direct Supervisor: Senior Executive Pastor of Worship Arts and Media

Position Hours: Full-time, salaried, 40-Hours per Week

Job Summary

The primary function of the Director of Media and Worship Arts will be to assist the Senior Executive Pastor of Worship Arts and Media execute his vision for the Worship Arts and Media ministry of the church. He will accomplish this by being responsible for the day to day operation of the music and media ministry of the church. His functions will include responsibilities in the areas of; music, technology, media, and pastoral duties. In addition, he will also be tasked with recruiting, training, and scheduling volunteers for the ministry team.  

Responsibilities

Technology and Media Responsibilities

• Audio/Video/Lighting/Tech
  • Coordinate / oversee audio, video, lighting, and projection needs for rehearsals, services, and special events
  • Account for and maintain AVLP equipment for worship use
  • Oversee upgrades / replacements for AVLP equipment
  • Coordinate tech teams for all special events including IBSA, weddings, funerals, and special church functions
• Weekly Service 
  • Coordinate with the Senior Executive Pastors to plan weekly services 
  • Train volunteers on production of weekly services
• Online Communications
  • Oversee and maintain TBC website development, keeping it current and informative
  • Oversee and maintain TBC social media outlets, to keep them current and useful avenues of communicating information and events. 
• Staff Meeting
  • Develop promotional strategies for upcoming events on the calendar
  • Help determine calendar priorities and announcements based on organizational information priority chart
• Publications
  • Approve all TBC publications including weekly bulletin, promotional materials, informational pieces, advertising, and all other publications. 
  • Oversee graphic design for all TBC publications
  • Oversee production of promotional materials for special events
  • Approve all documents placed on bulletin boards
• Advertising
  • Develop a plan for effectively advertising TBC events and weekly services
  • Oversee church-wide advertising budget

Music/Worship Responsibilities

• Assist with age graded choir ministries for children, youth, and adults
• Assist with the orchestra ministry and periodic instrumental groups
• Assist with vocal and instrumental worship teams for worship services
• Coordinate with Senior Pastor and Worship Pastor to plan and coordinate worship services and special events
• Assist with the ordering and distribution of music materials for all ministries and the music library
• Assist with recruiting and training all group directors and volunteers in music, worship, and worship arts.
• Assist in coordinating seasonal musical and drama programs
• Lead worship for Sunday morning or special events if needed
• Complete any tasks assigned by the Worship Pastor
• Meet on a weekly basis with the Worship Pastor to keep the same vision
