Job Description
Wayfinderz, the children’s ministry of WBC, provides relevant, age-appropriate learning and relationship opportunities for kids from kindergarten to fifth grade. Ministry for this age group is to be provided for and executed by a base of volunteers led by the WBC KidMin Pastor. The KidMin Pastor is responsible for all aspects of ensuring the spiritual growth and development of children Pre-K through fifth grade. He leads in curriculum selection, volunteer recruitment and development, classroom management, and operational management necessary to ensure successful, continuously improving weekend children’s services and special events.
QUALIFICATIONS (include education & experience)
• 4-year Bible College – Bachelor’s Degree related to Bible or Ministry
• Experience in Children’s Ministry encouraged
• Exemplary Christian testimony and fulfilling biblical qualifications of 1 Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9
• Assent to “Baptist Faith and Message” 2000; statement of faith for Southern Baptist Churches.

• Ordination not required, but WBC will encourage and equip toward this goal
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partner with NextGen pastor and Senior Pastor for family ministry events and/or community outreaches
• Build relationships with KidMin children and their families
• Recruit, train, & coordinate volunteers
• Wayfinderz program
o Develop lessons & quarterly curriculum
o Implement & maintain ongoing volunteer planning meetings
o Prepare facility for kid’s service, including all props and technical aspects
o Maintain & manage lobby check-in for kids
o Lead Sunday morning Wayfinderz kid’s service
• Support all ministry functions of WBC as appropriate for this position
• All other duties as assigned

Wrightsdale Baptist Church is the oldest Southern Baptist Church in Pennsylvania. Our active membership is around 300. We are located in Southern Lancaster County, PA.
