Senior Pastor

Job Description

The desired candidate will be a leader with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work unbiasedly with all members of the congregation to facilitate a well-developed vision of growth for the future of the Church.

Candidates must:

Believe in and live by the Holy Bible and commit to conduct their life to glorify God
Be a licensed and ordained Minister of the Baptist Denomination
Adhere to Riceville Mount Olive Baptist Church’s Constitution and Bylaws
Be available for full-time employment; prioritizing the Riceville Congregation above others
Possess the spiritual qualities as defined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9

Minimum Requirements

Resume (include all experience)
Official transcript(s) from an accredited College, University, or Seminary
Copy of your Ordination certification
Provide one (1) CD or a digital copy of a recent sermon from where you are currently serving
Three (3) written personal references (non-familial)

Additional Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited College, University, or Seminary is preferred (official transcript(s) required)
Candidate finalists will be required to submit three (3) written Church references (one must be from a Senior Pastor and the remaining from a Church official at minimum)
Evidence of church leadership experience
Evidence of ministerial experience

Character Review

If selected for an interview, the candidate must consent to an extensive character review, including but not limited to:

Criminal History
Credit History
Drug screening

Organization Description

Riceville Mount Olive Baptist Church is located on the southwest side of Houston, Texas and has celebrated its 133rd Anniversary this past year. We are a Bible-based Church with a God-fearing multi-generational congregation, who are committed to reaching our community with the love of Christ and seeking a man sent by God to become the Senior Pastor of our church.
